Job Description

Wynn Las Vegas has an in-house 24/7 full service Entertainment Production Services and Sound & Video Department to accommodate audio-visual and technical requests associated with convention, exhibit, private and catered event functions. Customer support for our clients is the number one factor that determines our department success.

Reporting to the Operations Manager of Entertainment Productions Services, the Convention A/V Technician of Entertainment Productions Services will be required to:

  • Install event lighting for production shows, leading crews up to 15 people for load-in and load-out.
  • Operate/program Moving Light consoles for productions
  • Repair diagnose and perform maintenance on faulty lighting gear including moving lights and conventional fixtures
  • Serve as Master Electrician for incoming shows
  • Maintain Lighting System infrastructure
  • Complete Audio Video room setups and strikes
  • Set convention and banquet power requirements.
  • Operate basic audio mixers, lighting controllers, and Crestron control panels.
  • Operate A/V systems for meetings and events.
  • Work with Shop Manager to maintain the organization of the EPS shops.
  • Encourage teamwork and aids in building cross-department relationships.
  • Work with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standards.
  • Ensure the department delivers a maximum level of customer service and production value.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in large-scale convention entertainment or live events setting.
  • Required current OSHA 10 General Industry Safety card.
  • Experience with GrandMA 2 or 3 is a plus
  • BA In theater or equivalent field is a plus
  • Theatrical experience is a plus
  • Rigging knowledge is a plus.
