Job Description

Plan, design and construction documents for resorts including hotel casino, residential towers, theaters, parking facilities, offices, retail, restaurants and related back of house support spaces. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Consult with senior managers and Owner's representatives to determine functional and spatial requirements of the assigned projects. 
  • Plans layout of project and project documents.
  • Prepares construction documents and assembles information regarding design, construction documents, specifications, materials, detailing, equipment integration, development of budgets and schedules. 
  • Integrates engineering discipline elements into unified and coordinated design. 
  • Prepares scale drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Prepares complete contract documents for building contractors. 
  • Directs and or assists others on team engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents. 
  • Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans and prepares punchlists for project closeouts. 

Job Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture or a minimum of four to eight years of architectural experience of which two years involved with developing and coordination of major construction projects. 
  • Projects may include resort/hospitality, public buildings, office complexes, major structures requiring application of a wide range of architectural and engineering principles and practices utilizing considerable judgment and independent decision-making. 
  • Develop and/or assist with preparation of specifications, preparation of construction documents, working knowledge of building codes and ordinances.
  • Good interpersonal and public relations experience working with clients to determine needs and based upon those needs, develop architectural program and scope of work depicting project requirements. 
  • Prepare presentation documents for the clients review and development of multiple simultaneous projects. 
  • Eligibility of being licensed by the Nevada State Board of Architecture and Interior Design to practice architecture in the state of Nevada is a plus. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
