Job Description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for operating efficiently within pre-established cost controls, managing, scheduling and training Banquet staff, and monitoring staff performance; maintain the department in accordance with Health department standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through application of Banquet service standards. Senior Assistant Manager is to support and mentor the Assistant Banquet Managers and at times will be required to run events as well.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in all hiring, performance management, and employee engagement within the department.
  • Provides training opportunities, mentorship, constructive and positive feedback at all levels. Creates a motivating environment.
  • Oversees the performance of team members under his/her area of responsibility
  • Responsible for planning and effective execution of bar events, ordering, payroll, scheduling and other duties assigned, planned or unplanned.
  • Responsible for evaluating and meeting staffing and management needs, training team members and upholding Wynn hospitality standards at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory and supplies as necessary to support operations, as well as communicating and coordinating with any and all operating departments.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all portable bars meet the regulatory Health Department standards for cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
  • Maximizing opportunities for departmental and company success; maintaining all Wynn Standards; and ensuring excellent guest and team member experience.
  • Insure that all work orders for maintenance repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the Wynn core values in conducting business.

Job Requirements

  • Requires the ability to work a varied schedule.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently and in a professional manner. 2nd language a plus.
  • Requires a minimum of three years of experience as an assistant beverage manager at a high end/high volume property.
  • Candidates must exhibit basic computer knowledge (including MS Office, Opera & POS), leadership and organizational skills.
  • Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
  • Requires a valid Nevada Health card.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
