Job Description

Convention Sales is responsible for the solicitation and contracting of group business from ten rooms and above. This department works closely with all operational teams to ensure the successful execution of the programs booked.

Job Responsibilities:
*Evaluates, solicits, and sells business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted departmental sales and profitability.
*Handles corporate, association, and incentive accounts in accordance with published marketing profiles and departmental policies and procedures.
*Executes pre-qualification and rate negotiations; conducts site inspections; establishes group files; issues contracts; and processes bookings.
*Maintains an effective plan of correspondence and communication with all customers.
*Represents Wynn and Encore at trade shows, presentations, and sales trips.
*Assists in developing and executing projects for assigned market area to increase sales activity, volume, and profit.
*Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Senior Vice President of Hotel Sales and Executive Director of Convention Sales & Services.

Job Requirements

*Good social skills
*Degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred
*Minimum 2-5 years of experience in hotel sales and with Dephi software
