Job Experience / Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a wig and hair technician or a similar position in a wardrobe department for a large-scale theatrical or production show.
- Experience with teaching performers how to apply their wigs.
- Experience with cutting, dyeing, setting, blocking and styling real hair wigs.
- Experience with fitting, altering and repairing full lace cap or lace front wigs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be highly organized and able to function in a stressful environment.
- Must be able to produce high quality work in a limited time frame.
- Must possess strong problem solving and time management skills.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and adapt to changes quickly.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others and develop positive interpersonal relationships with coworkers.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (evenings, weekends and holidays).
- Must have the ability to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of OSHA health and safety protocols is required.
- Must have a current OSHA 10 General Industry Safety Card.
