Job Description

The purpose of this position is to assist the corporate tax department in all aspects of the corporate income tax function, with an emphasis on U.S. international tax compliance and tax fixed asset accounting for 3 integrated hotel casino resorts.  The Senior Tax Accountant will contribute to the quarterly and annual income tax compliance and provision processes.  This position will contribute to maintaining the company’s participation in IRS CAP and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.  This position reports directly to the Corporate Tax Managers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare income tax computations related to U.S. international tax compliance, U.S. federal tax compliance, U.S. state tax compliance, and income tax reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of tax fixed asset records for the company’s foreign integrated hotel casino resorts as well as foreign supporting affiliates.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal departments, both domestically and internationally, to gather financial accounting records.
  • Reports to the Corporate Tax Managers.

Job Requirements

  • Prepare fixed asset depreciation calculations for all tax books – Federal, State, State AMT and E&P, to include proper capitalization, transfer, and disposal of assets and related reconciliations.
  • Prepare U.S. international income tax returns and assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns. Assist with estimate payments, extensions and related workpapers.
  • Prepare proper records and documentation for Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Assist with preparation of reports for audits by tax authorities and external financial audits.
  • Assist in preparation of forecasting and tax planning computations and analyses.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Accounting and/or Tax.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with deadlines and reprioritize work assignments as needed.
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
