Job Description

The Shoe Shine Attendant is responsible for creating a memorable and rewarding experience for the hotel’s guests. This includes providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest, exceeding guest expectations through positive interactive skills, performing shoe shining tasks as well as providing consultation and advice on shoe care and self-care of shoes.

*Cleans and polishes footwear for guests, including, but not limited to: removing surface dirt, removing grime and old polish or wax, applying new polish, buffing footwear, other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
*Provide consultation and advice on shoe care.
*Maintain accurate records of shoe shine transactions.
*Responsible for monitoring and maintaining supply levels.
*Immediately reports calls for cleaning requests, such as spills and bio hazards in the shoe shine area.
*Responsible for maintaining the Wynn standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times.
*Communicates clearly and professionally with co-workers and guests at all times.
*Ensures the Wynn standards of cleanliness and appearance for shoe shine areas, which include, but is not limited to; maintaining the cleanliness and order of the shoe shine stand.
*Works with safety as a priority, and follows company safety standards.
*Knows and adheres to Wynn policies and procedures, embrace company culture and take pride in the resort and amenities.
*Understands and is well versed in the resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests.
*Attends required training classes and incorporates new knowledge into daily work practices.
*Looks for opportunities to assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders at all times.
*Awareness of guest experience at all times, smiles and makes eye contact.

Job Requirements

*Minimum 1 year customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
*Candidate must be able to stand and bend for entire shift
*Must have working knowledge of shoe care products and application techniques both on men and women’s shoes
*Must possess a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude.
*Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts and ways of approaching guest and coworkers.
*Must be able to effectively communicate in English with guests. Additional foreign language a plus.
*Candidate must be well groomed and professional.
*Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
*Willingness to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
*Must be 18 years of age or older.
