Located in the lobby/reception area of WDD’s new state-of-the-art innovation center in Summerlin, the WDD Studio Concierge is an ambassador of hospitality to both external guests and internal staff with a focus on bringing Wynn’s famed 5-Star service into the workplace of the team that creates 5-star experiences for our guests around the world. The WDD Studio Concierge will be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and effectively and efficiently managing the hospitality and administrative functions required at the new lobby, amphitheater, screening room, coffee bar, and team café. This includes, but is not limited to, greeting, welcoming, and directing/escorting all visitors and staff throughout the space, professionally answering and fielding phone calls and paging announcements, managing travel arrangements, assisting in the coordination of meetings, conferences, parties and company events, and ensuring all supplies and inventory are up-to-date to support the functioning of the studio. Further, the Studio Concierge will be responsible for updating the community events and Downtown Summerlin calendar for all staff and managing the operation of the lobby LED graphics wall. The WDD Design Studio Concierge is expected to consistently demonstrate the Wynn Company Values and Core Behaviors while serving as a goodwill ambassador with all external customers, vendors, guests, internal stakeholders, and colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and demonstrate a helpful, positive, and upbeat attitude with every interaction. 5-Star Concierge level service will be a hallmark of this position. Being anticipatory and proactive is key to the success of this role.
  • Promptly and courteously respond to incoming phone calls and requests, utilizing a multi-line telephone system, including paging.
  • Transfer calls to the applicable team members, announcing the caller or taking messages as appropriate.
  • Professionally greet visitors, vendors, and guests and notify appropriate team member(s) of their arrival and business purpose.
  • Provide guests and Executives with 5-star service of hot and cold beverages, including operating the lobby coffee bar as the studio “Barista.”
  • Manage lobby area, including displays, both visual and physical.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance of the lobby area and meeting rooms and an impeccable personal presentation conducive to a 5-Star creative environment.
  • Maintain and stock office pantry.
  • Manage, direct and coordinate office-related service tickets (aka Hot Sauce Tickets), maintenance, and repairs. Coordinating with the Building Manager and sub-consultants for access and availability to the office suite.
  • Coordinate meetings and order food and beverage as requested for meetings.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors in organizing lunches, parties, company events, and vendor presentations.
  • Schedule travel for all staff, including but not limited to flights, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation reservations following the Wynn Design & Development Travel Policy.
  • Prepare travel packets and maintain a travel schedule for staff.
  • Assist with WDD introductions for new clients and candidates, including an overview of the company. May also arrange their travel and accommodations.
  • Closely work with Executive Assistants in all departments.
  • Assist with preparing transmittals, reports, labels, and other correspondence as requested.
  • Maintain Company directory for accuracy and distribution.
  • Contact the appropriate vendors and/or internal service team(s) for equipment repairs and service.
  • Maintain the Downtown Summerlin community calendar of events.
  • Coordinate neighborhood employee discounts, dry cleaning service, and weekly car wash/detailing service.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Two to three years of administrative and/or front desk, concierge, or F&B server experience
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Interest and appreciation for international projects, four and five-star resort hospitality, and design
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and vendor software

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Hospitality, or a closely related field

Current Clark County Health Card

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with 5-star service as a barista, bartender, or server
  • Familiarity with the design industry, Wynn Resorts, and Wynn Design & Development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and current Windows operating systems (Office 365 preferred)
  • Ability to work in a creative, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to approach all tasks with proactive thinking and a comprehensive plan of action.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and an articulate communicator.
  • Must have an excellent personal presentation and possess the necessary skills and attributes to represent the qualitative character of WDD in all forms of communication and representation.
  • Must have a friendly, lively, energetic and personable character.
  • Must be able to interface with executives and staff of all levels in a confident manner.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend, and compose complex instructions, author correspondence and memorandums. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, as well as small group situations.

Consistently demonstrate active listening.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple and complex instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Essential duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates. Safely lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds on occasions as well as sit for up to 90% of the workday. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will potentially be required throughout the shift and exposed to potentially hazardous conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, when on a project site, the noise level increases to loud. When on a project site, team members are required to comply with all contractor-imposed safety procedures.

Due to unanticipated changes at times within the design and development process, and nature of the design industry, team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
