Job Description

The Floral Supervisor ensures the creation, installation and maintenance of our floral arrangements meet the Wynn Floral Department Design Standard. The Floral Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day to day operations and providing training and support for the staff, as well as providing leadership to enhance employee engagement and guest satisfaction. 

*Daily responsibilities can include but not limited to: ordering product, assisting in floral production, floral maintenance, event set ups and strikes, assisting in customer service when receiving and processing floral phone orders, ensuring employees are in compliance with policies and procedures while adhering to Wynn Standards.
*Assists with floral design and creation, floral maintenance, event set up and strikes.
*Assists with customer service when receiving and processing all floral orders.
*Product quality control, inspection and assurance.
*Responsible for managing line level staff.
*Responsible for effectively managing many different personality types. Instills a calm environment when under pressure.
*Responsible for providing support to florists by training, mentoring and supervising florists in various areas of responsibility.
*Responsible for financial planning, forecast, labor, and payroll for areas of responsibility.
*Maintains files, computer documents, and keeps work areas clean and well organized.
*Be an active member of the Hotel Division management team.
*Provides clear direction, establishes goals and appropriate time frames, manages overall guest satisfaction, and monitors progress to achieve desired results.
*Must focus on key drivers of employee engagement and guest satisfaction.
*Consults regularly with all levels of management within the company to provide constructive feedback to other departments to help enhance the guest experience.
*Coordinates with all levels of management to maintain the highest level of guest service standards.
*Ensures staff is equipped with all tools to serve the guest’s needs.
*Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Responsible for addressing guest issues.
*Responsible for training, conducting employee performance evaluations, and overall development of all staff.
*Responsible for all inventory, equipment, administrative supplies and any necessary items within the Floral Department.
*Must maintain a complete knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
*Encourages professional growth in employees and constantly seeks professional growth. *Looks for ways to be more productive and efficient, improving on skill set and knowledge.
*Pre-shifts crew daily providing direction, motivation, and communicating the company message positively.
*Provides coaching and counseling to employees, documents and provides progressive discipline when necessary.
*Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
*Operates specialized power and motorized equipment including, but not limited to: scissor lift, boom lift, fork lift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, utility vehicles and trucks up to 30 ft. long.
*Operates different mechanical lifts and perform department related tasks atop such lift.
*Assist floral team in the production, delivery, installation and strike of events, special projects and décor in both off-site and on-site venues.
*Responsible for maintaining the Wynn standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times.
*Ensures employee’s compliance with policies and procedures.
*Ensures the Wynn standards of cleanliness and appearance for all areas.
*Maintains a safe and pristine work environment at all times.
*Works with safety as a priority, and follows department and company safety standards.
*Maintains as positive attitude and works well with others.
*Mentors and shares knowledge with peers and staff.
*Knows and complies with department and company policies and procedures, embraces company culture and takes pride in the resort and amenities.
*Communicates all necessary information regarding areas of assignment to the management team.
*Understands and well versed in the resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests.
*Attends required training classes and incorporates new knowledge gained into daily work practices.
*Looks for opportunities to assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders at all times.
*Takes ownership of property as a whole, able to prioritize tasks.

Job Requirements

*Requires a minimum of 2 years leadership experience in the floral industry.
*Creative ability to develop and craft upscale floral designs.
*Proven experience in managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
*Ability to monitor and maintain a safe work environment.
*Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
*Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English fluently and properly. Additional foreign language is a plus.
*Candidate should possess feedback skills at all levels; push back, challenge status quo in and out of the office and strong motivational feedback.
*Must be able to verbally coach and counsel employees and document as necessary.
*Must possess problem negotiation, problem solving & decision making skills and apply them in a fast paced environment.
*Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
*Must be able to work proficiently with deadlines and disciplined to work without constant guidance and supervision.
*Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and create reports upon request.
*Weekend availability. Schedule for this position is not set. Must be available to work all shifts and be able to flex schedule based on business demands and special projects.
*Must be able to work efficiently within a team environment.
*Must be able to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
*Must possess a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude.
*Must be well groomed and professional.
*Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts, and ways of approaching analysis.
*Must have strong customer service skills. Ability to deal with problems involving guests and operational issues while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
*Must maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
*Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
*Must have valid Nevada driver’s license.
*Must have High School diploma or equivalent and any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
*Must be 21 years of age or older.
