Position summary

Reporting to the resort President, the Vice President of Property Marketing is the key leader responsible for creating and executing property marketing campaigns to drive awareness, trial, loyalty, and retention of gaming (non-VIP) and non-gaming customers of Wynn Las Vegas.   They have oversight of all direct-to-consumer and loyalty marketing, traditional advertising, digital advertising, social media, Public Relations, entertainment marketing, and activations/promotions.

Position detail

Using a data-centric approach, this key leader and member of the property executive team partners with other resort leaders as well as corporate shared services partners to:

1) develop and execute strategic marketing plans for the property that increase awareness and drive initial trial of lodgers and non-lodger

2) create programs to increase dwell time and share of wallet from guests on property

3) devise and execute targeted retention and loyalty strategies

The VP of Marketing employees the full array of customer communication channels, including direct-to-consumer marketing, traditional media, digital media, social media, PR, and on-property activation. S/he is be responsible for refining a clearly articulated customer segmentation and lifecycle strategy, supported by data, as well as determine campaign strategies, test plans and key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as success metrics.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in casino resort relationship/enterprise marketing, customer segmentation, and multi-channel marketing.  Specifically, s/he will be a “best in class” direct-to-consumer marketer who is well versed in generating innovative programs that have achieved demonstrable and measurable results driving new customers into all resort venues, include hotel, dining, entertainment nightlife, retail shopping, spa and casino. S/he will have demonstrated success, measured in terms of new customer generation, scale, efficiency, financial and revenue performance, conversion, and brand loyalty with the consumer.

The Vice President will have a proven track record in a customer-centric environment and should have a strong strategic orientation as well as an analytical perspective in decision making. Strong mix of accountability, execution, urgency, and collaboration across a broad set of functional areas in a casino resort environment. 

The chosen individual’s ability to set high standards as a mission will also set them apart. While the subject matter expert and marketing team leader, the successful candidate needs to thrive in a free- flowing ideas environment; if there is a better way – anyone can bring it forward.

Significant Responsibilities

  • Create both annual and quarterly marketing plans for Wynn Las Vegas for hotel, dining, entertainment, retail shopping, spa and casino. Partner with leader colleagues on marketing plans for nightlife and meetings/conventions
  • Act as key partner to multiple stakeholders across the organization, including property management, food and beverage leadership, hotel leadership, nightclub leadership, and meetings/conventions leadership in planning and executing marketing programs and campaigns for non-gaming customers
  • Work closely with corporate partners in PR, brand management, social / community management, and digital media to execute campaigns
  • Work with property and corporate leaders on segmentation related requirements for 360 Customer Data Lake and associated analysis tools and leverage such data lake in support for campaign development and campaign optimization
  • Identify and scope on property/in-venue marketing and up-sell opportunities
  • Serve as subject matter expert throughout the organization on marketing and act as the voice of the resort’s customers
  • Deploy campaigns across multiple channels, ranging from media buying to social to print to on- property
  • Deploy campaigns in support of the property’s broader short and long-term strategic goals, develop and report on verifiable KPIs associated with campaign activity and tied to such strategic goals.

 

Job Requirements

Required Experience

The following background, experience and personal attributes will be used to evaluate and recruit the new Vice President of Property Marketing

  • Ten or more years of experience in fast-paced omnichannel marketing roles, with a minimum of five years in executive casino resort property leadership roles
  • Development of comprehensive market plans with measurable performance and financial outcomes
  • Expert in innovative and performance-oriented marketing strategies and tactics, including deep understanding of how financial performance is interlinked with marketing conversion and various attribution models/technologies
  • Demonstrated success in a high-profile, entrepreneurial, or fast-paced corporate environment
  • Strong marketing/advertising, product management and/or analytics background
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and understand consumer needs and emerging trends necessary to attract and acquire new customers and retain existing customers

Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, merchandising, finance, data analytics, management, or a related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred.
