The position is located in Jersey City, NJ with convenient commuting access to Manhattan.

 

Candidate Profile:  Leads the financial reporting and accounting operations for internet and mobile gaming and sports wagering. Responsible for overseeing the daily functions of online gaming and sports betting accounting and financial reporting; performing work requiring specialized casino accounting knowledge, abilities, skills and experience.  The applicant should have an understanding of income control functions and financial reporting. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

                      

  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness on delivery of all daily/weekly/monthly/annual reporting on igaming and sports wagering operations and performance.
  • Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, as required.
  • Prepares igaming and sports wagering tax returns and supplemental schedules, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Verifies and audits the daily revenue reports for online gaming and sports betting and performs variance research, as required. 
  • Reconciles revenue and expense reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reports.
  • Maintains appropriate reporting for tracking key performance indicators for established business metrics.
  • Sorts documents; codes, logs, and reviews for accuracy; verifies invoices for payment.
  • Prepares journal entries and posts financial transactions; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports.

Job Requirements

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Business or related degree required, and/or equivalent industry accounting experience. CPA preferred.
  • Relevant sports betting, iGaming and/or online poker experience along with gaming industry experience in internal control development, financial statement reporting and related compliance preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes, meet deadlines and work under the pressure of short time constraints.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to travel to gaming regulatory authorities, as may be required.
  • Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and word processors required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to get and maintain a NJ gaming license.
