Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

Wynn Design & Development – Construction Cost Analyst

Wynn Design & Development is seeking a Construction Cost Analyst. This person will provide project support and expertise in the cost forecasting and management of Construction Projects. This position is based in Las Vegas NV.

Job Description:

The Construction Cost Analyst is responsible for collecting and managing actual / historical project cost for the purpose of developing an accurate historical cost data base, working with the VP of finance and the other departments within Wynn Design & Development to create detailed cost estimates at critical project milestones including conceptual; schematic; design development; and construction. Provide cost analysis for “what if” scenarios and support project value engineering efforts.

Job Responsibilities:
•Collect, create and manage cost data base using historical, and available local cost data.
•Responsible for preparation of consistent, timely, accurate and reliable, cost estimates for projects.
•Assist Senior Management and Project Managers with creating and monitoring project budgets.
•Responsible for reviewing/researching historical cost data to develop guidelines and standards for future estimates.
•Will be required to participate in project meetings, negotiations, risk analysis studies, and value engineering studies.
•Review and comment on cost estimates developed by others.
•Functions successfully with limited supervision.

Job Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. This requirement may be waived with 5+ years of direct construction industry experience.
•Demonstrated ability to read plans and specifications.
•Ability to analyze documentation from a variety of different sources.
•Construction Project Cost Estimating experience with a track record of increasing responsibilities preferred.
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills,
•Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
