Job Summary

The Director of Talent Acquisition provides high quality staffing and consulting services in the talent acquisition area to meet the objectives for staffing positions based at Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas.  Specifically, this may include CEO, CFO, CMO, CIO, EVP, SVP, VP, Executive Directors, Directors, General Managers, Hotel Managers and other leadership positions. The Director works with hiring executives, managers, HR Sr. Leaders, and other Wynn Corporate clients to understand staffing requirements and create appropriate sourcing/recruiting strategies in response to these needs. A key responsibility will be to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships with assigned resort and corporate functional disciplines, as appropriate. In addition, the Director will develop relationships with minority/women organizations, LGBT+, Veterans and other sources that result in greater access and richer sources of diverse candidate slates.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborates closely with the SVP, HR - North America and VP, HR Ops for Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas and will provide thought leadership for recruiting philosophies, processes, tools, and tactics.
  • Critical business partner to Director of Compensation and HR Analytics for the success on the on boarding processes.
  • Develops critical relationships and partnerships with corporate and market leadership as well as other corporate Centers of Expertise (COEs).
  • Provides consultative leadership to and drives continuous process improvement for Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas, as needed, in all aspects of leader of leader recruitment.
  • Leads in the development and/or enhancement of the Talent Acquisition processes to drive operational efficiencies and best practices.
  • Partners with hiring managers across businesses to deliver exceptional recruiting services in support of the overall objective to recruit top talent for leader of leader roles at Wynn Resorts.
  • Supervises the Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Responsible for leading the hourly staffing and recruitment processes for Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Serves as coach and expert facilitator of the selection and interviewing processes.
  • Develops staffing strategy in collaboration with hiring managers with a focus on retention strategies.
  • Ensures managers are competent in assessing and evaluating hourly staff.
  • Ensures completion of the duties and responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition staff members, as outlined in applicable job description(s).
  • Ensures property Talent Acquisition Team is properly trained in all selection/recruitment processes and systems. Understands how to communicate effectively with property leaders and employees.
  • Serves as resource to property Talent Acquisition Team answering questions and addressing issues.
  • Continually reinforces positive employee relations concepts.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Conducting intake session(s) with hiring manager(s), as needed, to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on target profile and recruiting process.
  • Managing the full lifecycle recruitment process including intake, sourcing, screening, and interviewing applicants.
  • Developing offer recommendations per company policy regarding pay equity, and as needed, partners with Compensation and Legal to finalize recommendations. Reviews recommendation with HR Leader to confirm alignment prior to review with the hiring manager.
  • Extending offers, managing negotiations, finalizing offer letters or contracts for approval by the VP HR Ops and/or Legal.
  • Initiating pre-hire checks, monitoring successful completion.
  • Maintains full accountability for timely completion of requisition audits, offer letter/contract audits, and other mechanisms in place to drive compliance, accuracy and optimal team performance.
  • Actively monitors performance on recruiting metrics against individual goals while maintaining awareness of the company's goals in diversity hiring.
  • Consults with VP, HR Ops and Legal regarding policies and procedures related to staffing, assessments, etc.
  • Coordinates and delegates with subordinate team members, on recruiting-related projects and initiatives, such as pipeline project, workforce management system, and candidate experiences.

Job Requirements

Candidate Profile

  •  Minimum 5 years recruiting experience required. Experience recruiting for senior level positions strongly preferred; experience with working with external search firms.
  • Experience in diverse recruitment strategies, such as IT, Casino and other relevant roles.
  • Experience in a managerial role as an HR specialist (recruiting, development, organizational effectiveness, etc.).


  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Graduate degree in Human Resources or related field desired.
