Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

* Researches and designs training materials for the classroom/on the job/computer based training.
* Identify appropriate methods and models for learning goals, methodology, and learner needs to develop and implement training programs and materials for hourly and management staff.
* Work on projects teams or alone, developing engaging and effective online or classroom course material within budgets and time restraints.
* Consults with subject matter expert to capture training and development goals for staff. Identify learner needs, analyze and logically organize complex technical information, and transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective format and/or program.
* Interpret a variety of needs analysis. Interpret data and recommend procedures and solutions for effective learning and instruction. Create and format job aids.
* Create, edit, and update department handbooks.
* Produce online instruction or study guides, instructor guides, student texts and workbooks.

Job Requirements

* A four year degree in Education or related field is required. Additional education or focus in Training and Development, Instructional Design or related field is required.
* Background in ISD and adult learning methodologies.
* Experience in Food and Beverage or hospitality industry with the ability to relate and support a high level of guest service focus.
* Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning that includes instructor led, classroom, and on the job approaches that achieve measurable results. Knowledge and use of standard English, correct grammar and ability to edit detailed documents.
* Strong organizational skills. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize multiple projects to achieve deadlines and desired results. PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher and Illustrator and ability to create graphs, photos, sound, charts, graphics, etc., in these applications.
