Job Description

Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas opened on April 28, 2005 and was once again named the best resort in Nevada on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 “Gold List,” a title received for the tenth time. Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all Front Feature areas including: the Lake of Dreams, four additional lakes, patio lighting, planter lights surrounding the lakes and the lights on the mountain.
  • Keep a daily record of tasks performed via the work scheduling / reporting system.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the three lakes with swimming pool-like water treatment and the two fresh water koi fish lakes.
  • Includes wearing a wetsuit to be in the water approximately half of each day.
  • Responsible to assist engineers with various tasks including process improvements.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned by area and Management.
  • Will assist all other trades and crafts with routine and emergency work assignments.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to monitor and maintain all portable equipment used to maintain bodies of water, use material handling equipment, carts, and forklifts, safely transport materials and chemicals to all work and equipment locations, and enter exterior water features daily for cleaning and skimming operations.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English is required.
  • The ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, drawings and sketches is required.
  • The ability to immediately respond to all emergency situations and calls.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A valid Driver's License is required and must be obtained before entering this position. 
  • Must be proficient in the safe use of all trade related hand and power tools, safety and protective equipment including chemical handling as needed. 

    •  Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
