Job Description

Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas opened on April 28, 2005 and was once again named the best resort in Nevada on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 “Gold List,” a title received for the tenth time. Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

Job Responsibilities:

The IT Ops, Engineering & Support department or ""IT"" for short is responsible for possessing a detailed understanding of operations, architectural design and infrastructure and communicating the benefits of digitization of business to our function leaders.

• Review the project charter to determine project objectives, scope, timeframe and procedures for accomplishing the project.
• Review business process documentation to understand operations, critical functions, and internal and external compliance requirements.
• Keep track of and understand new business requirements and operational changes
• Develop test plans outlining the test types necessary, the scope (test case and test data), and testing requirements (environment and application).
• Develop and maintain test cases and test data.
• Define and coordinate completion of testing requirements.
• Participate in software design reviews.
• Execute different types of testing (smoke, functional, regression, operational).
• Report bugs, track defects, recommend corrective action and resolve issues with software developers.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Generate test completion reports detailing project testing activities, issues and defects encountered and test results.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to create responsive user interactions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline with an Information Technology focus is required. A M.B.A. degree or equivalent in related project management experience is preferred but not required.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience on QA Methodology and software quality assurance, in a development and vendor maintained applications environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge on gaming, hotel, food & beverage, retail business and operations is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience on IGT Suite, Opera Suite, Micros POS and NSB Suite applications is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to carryout QA efforts on multiple projects including completion of testing tasks, work with project managers, and report status for a team of people.
• Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
• Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations.
• Ability to assess the priority and severity of issues.
• Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate needs and schedules to IT, vendors and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple testing activities.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate under a dual reporting relationship (IT, customers).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
