Job Description

The Salon Supervisor will be responsible for assisting Salon Management with daily Salon operations, administrative duties, and special tasks.  They will be responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest while exceeding expectations through positive interactive skills.


  • Responsible for maintaining the Wynn standards as well as Forbes 5 Star Standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times.
  • Ensures the Wynn standards of cleanliness and appearance for all areas.
  • Responsible for assisting and supporting the Director and Assistant Managers with any special projects.
  • Works with safety as a priority, and follows department and company safety standards.
  • Knows and adheres to Wynn policies and procedures, embrace company culture and take pride in the resort and amenities.
  • Understand and well versed in the resort, hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests.
  • Attends required training classes and incorporates knowledge obtained into daily work practices.
  • Look for opportunities to assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders at all times.
  • Solution oriented, avoiding conflict and gossip, stays on task and promotes teamwork.
  • Awareness of guest experience at all times, smiles and makes eye contact, communicates professionally.
  • Coordinates with all levels of management to maintain the highest level of guest service standards.
  • Assists Salon Management to ensure staff is equipped with all tools to serve the guests needs.
  • Responsible for assisting with all hiring practices within the Salon. Must have the ability to interview and select excellent staff to create a leading service and treatment presentation.
  • Responsible for all inventory management of linen, products, equipment, administrative supplies, retail items and any necessary items within the Salon.
  • Responsible for assisting Salon management with writing and conducting employee performance evaluations when applicable.
  • May assist with coordinating all schedules, request for time off, shift changes, early outs, and late starts with Salon Management when needed.
  • Assist management with creating and distributing any necessary SpaSoft reports.
  • Responsible for managing the KRONOS time keeping system for all salon employees.
  • Assists Salon Management in keeping accurate attendance records for all employees.
  • Continuously assist Salon Management with any necessary special tasks.
  • Ability to assist reception team when necessary including booking appointments and checking guests in/out of the Salon.

Job Requirements

  • Required to have a minimum of one year experience in management position.
  • Required to have a minimum of one year experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience working in a demanding high volume Spa/Salon environment or hotel front desk is preferred.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, computer and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Prior knowledge of the following systems is preferred: SpaSoft, Kronos, MMS/Agilysis, HotSOS, Market Metrix, and Opera
  • Must be able to work proficiently with deadlines and disciplined to work without constant guidance and supervision.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.  Ability to decipher various reports and create reports upon request.
  • Must be able to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must possess problem solving and decision making skills in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work all shifts and days including opening and closing shifts.
  • Must be able to work efficiently within a team environment.
  • Must possess a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude.
  • Candidate must be well groomed and professional.
  • Must have an open mind and willingness to learn new processes, concepts and ways of approaching guests and coworkers.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.  Ability to deal with problems involving guests and operational issues while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbal and non-written.  Additional foreign language a plus.
  • Candidate must maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Combination of education equivalent to graduation from high school (High School diploma) or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Must possess a current Food Handler’s Card
  • Must possess a current Alcohol Awareness Card
