Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

Senior Contracts Paralegal will be responsible for providing paralegal support to the General Counsel and Corporate Counsel throughout the contract lifecycle, including template selection, drafting, revision and execution.  Areas of law include contractual and transactional work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in the review and negotiation of routine contracts.
  • Maintain and update routine and progressively more non-routine contracts based on templates.
  • Advise on factual elements of contracts to internal business clients.
  • Under attorney supervision, serve as advisor in assessing contracts and providing issue resolution.
  • Works independently delivering on routine but progressively more non-routine work, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately.
  • Makes routine and progressively more non-routine decisions independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Working with contracts legal team, maintain library of contract templates and database of executed contracts, utilize contract management platform and support implementation of optimization solutions.
  • Performs occasional legal research and prepares memoranda.
  • Make recommendations to the attorneys as to whether documents are ready for execution.
  • Attend all department meetings and contribute to the continuing effort to improve the work product of the Legal Department.

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 7 years’ experience as a contracts paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
  • A Certificate in Paralegal Studies required.  CLA, CP, or RP certification a bonus.
  • A 4 year Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong experience in document management and other legal assistant responsibilities.
  • Must be able to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be detail oriented, well organized, able to handle a high pressure environment, possess excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Must work well in a team environment, as well as work independently without much supervision.
  • Must be highly skilled in basic and advanced functions of Microsoft Office products and Adobe Pro, and be comfortable with upgrades and technology improvements.
  • Must be familiar with contract management software, experience with Ariba a plus.
  • Must be 18 year of age or older.
