Responsibilities :

The Wynn Theater Health Services Department is responsible for providing performance related treatment services and for developing prevention programs which includes strength and conditioning programs for the cast of Le Rêve.

• Responsible for working with the Health Services staff and Coaches to develop and implement individualized, safe and effective strength and conditioning programs for each of the performers.
• Makes recommendations and assist with providing guidance to the performers on nutrition, physical conditioning and injury prevention.
• Assess, motivate, encourage and instruct the performers on the benefits of an individualized strength and conditioning program.
• Oversees that the mandated strength and conditioning programs are being followed.
• Selects and administers appropriate baseline tests to be sure that all performers are able to maintain the physical requirements/essential functions to perform their required tableaus.
• Works with the Coaches and Artistic Management to update or modify all baseline testing procedure.
• Participates in the decision making process with the Artistic and Health Services staff concerning changes made to performer’s strength and condition programs and each performer’s progress.
• Provides supervision of the performer while they are training in the theater or other areas as assigned.
• Ensures that all practices meet with the requirements of Federal, State & Civil authorities.
• Works in close cooperation with other members of the emergency team, in the case of injury or emergency.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in health related file and three (3) years experience in sports or performing arts having worked hands on with professional athletes.
• Must maintain certifications and/or licenses in accordance with the respective institutions and have Fitness, CPR and Pilates certifications are required.
• Ability to withstand exposure to chlorinated water and swim with a high level of comfort.
• Ability, experience, and comfort in working at high elevations in a theatrical environment.
• Knowledge of strength training and physiological principals.
• Must be able to assist with or transfer athletes of various weights/heights.
• Must possess excellent problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of PC based systems and MS Office software.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekend, holidays and long hours.
• Must be able to work around live birds, strobe lighting and smoke effects.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
