Job Description

The NOC Supervisor, IT Operations, is a key member of the Wynn Las Vegas IT Team and reports directly to the Application Support Manager.  This position is responsible for supervising the swing or graveyard shift for all operations personnel and will implement the operating strategies and maintenance of network and server technology systems as well as managing the day-to-day methods and practices to control and support the operating environments at Wynn Las Vegas.  As a key member of the IT Team, this position will collaborate with other IT leaders and will oversee and lead the NOC Specialist.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Operations organization by defining and managing performance standards, metrics, toolsets, and organizational requirements to deliver world class support and service for current and proposed technology systems (network technologies, systems operating and hardware platforms).
  • Working to achieve all organizational goals and objectives including excellence in the delivery of 2nd level support services, as well as defining and maintaining best practices with respect to Monitoring, Systems Operations.
  • Partnering with the Application Support manager to drive the operations, security and systems monitoring standards for the teams that support all technology systems, including 450 network switches and 9000 network nodes.
  • Managing the human capital against performance metrics and maintaining overall excellence and best practices within the Operations organization so that 24x7x365 support is flawlessly delivered
  • Recruiting, mentoring and retaining talent in the NOC.
  • Evaluating with other IT leaders various technology vendor products and services and working and managing select vendors to ensure adequate services and support are in place to meet business needs.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • A thorough and complete technical understanding of troubleshooting techniques for business applications, databases, network gear, and servers
  • Proven experience improving the performance of mission critical business systems technologies.
  • Experience with HP Openview or other monitoring tools.
  • Management experience (people and functions) associated with an Engineering & Operations organization, including a thorough understanding of the operations of a data center/business systems support operation in a 24X7 environment.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, leadership skills and work ethic
  • Bachelor's degree, preferable in computer science, information systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience, certifications and/or licenses. 
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in a data center/business systems support environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
