WSI is looking for a talented, highly-qualified Interactive Operations Manager to help lead its growing team of digital gaming professionals to establish a leadership position in the exciting, fast-developing mobile sports betting market. The position is located in Jersey City, NJ with convenient commuting access to Manhattan.

Candidate Profile:

 

The ideal applicant will have operations leadership experience in digital sports betting and/or casino in a regulated environment. Further, the candidate will have demonstrable experience developing and implementing operations strategies, processes and structures, and will possess the following capabilities:

  • Ability to apply a holistic/end-to-end approach to designing and managing digital gaming operations.
  • Have broad knowledge and understanding of the sports betting and casino space.
  • Be extremely commercially aware with a tactical mind, identifying the most important business opportunities and delivering the solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of product, marketing, compliance, customer care and legal and its business implications.
  • Possess extensive experience gained in a managerial operations role(s) in a customer facing business.
  • Must possess a consultative approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have a growth and experimental mindset; will have proven experience of driving growth.
  • Ability to present information to top management, public groups and/or our regulators
  • The ability to read, analyze and interpret complicated documents such as sectoral journals, financial and statistical reports and legal documents.
  • Proven people-development skills and an ability to motivate others
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership for the WSI operations team.
  • Define and communicate business vision and strategy to the Customer Support, VIP, AML, Risk, Fraud, Payment, Responsible Gambling, Verification, Trading, Data Protection, Compliance teams.
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Develop and adhere to operations budget and KPI targets. Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management.
  • Promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale, while ensuring adherence to the organization’s core values and behaviors.
  • Guide the operations team with a focus on increasing customer loyalty.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis on business, operations, and/or technical field preferred
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in digital sports betting operations/product experience with five (5) years of highly relevant managerial experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of digital sports betting and casino, with a clear passion for the leading American sports
